Frequently Asked Questions
We bet you are wondering...
Q. What food is available for my child at camp?
A. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided daily and the kids eat all together in a large dining hall. There are often additional snacks and special treats offered throughout the day. Allergies and dietary restrictions are accommodated for. In addition to meals in the dining hall there is a coffee shop and ice cream parlor where kids can purchase additional food, drinks and desserts.
Q: Is there a doctor or medical staff onsite?
A. There is a trained medical team on site at camp who are available 24/7 if needed.
Q. What is the daily schedule like at camp?
A. There is a pretty full schedule each day of camp as we strive to keep the kids entertained and having fun. The daily routine consists of meals, club times twice a day (songs, skits, games, a talk), group activities, and cabin time (time to meet together with just your cabin mates and leaders).
Q. Will my child have free time?
A. There is plenty of free time to relax, get to know other kids and choose from a ton of fun activities like:
- Challenge yourself on our high ropes course, play in the pool, out on the sports fields or head inside to the game room for ping pong and pool.
- Head to the gym to shoot hoops or scale up our climbing wall. Then head over to the pond for paddle boarding and canoeing.
- Hit the trails horseback or on a mountain bike, grab some friends for a round of disc golf on the 18-hole course and fly through the air on the zipline!
- Race around the ridge runners track, then relax in the 70 person hot tub!
Q. What are the cabins/sleeping arrangements like?
A. The cabins accommodate approximately 20 people. Your child will be placed in a cabin with other kids and leaders from their home area. We strive to bring one leader for every 5-6 kids. Bedding is provided in all cabins- pillows, sheets and blankets. Your child may still bring a pillow or blanket from home if desired. The cabins are set up as dorm-style rooms with bunk beds, bathrooms/showers and cubbies.
Q. What is the price of camp and are there payment options to help with the cost?
A. Is camp cost interfering with your decision to register your son or daughter? If so, we hope to provide several options to ease the financial burden on families.
1. Payment plan: We always strive to provide registration months in advance so that families can properly prepare to pay the cost of camp. Sign up for free or with a deposit and pay the remaining amount in monthly payments.
2. Share your payment link: Send your personalized payment link to family and friends who would be willing to help cover the cost of camp. Upon registration, each camper is assigned a personal payment link. Anyone who clicks on the link can enter their payment information and help pay off that specific camper's remaining balance.
3. Camp scholarship funds: We have worked hard to raise funds in order to have money available for camp scholarships, and we set up various opportunities for kids to earn these funds if they need to. We do this through Campership Work Days and our annual Bowl-a-Thon. Once you have registered your son or daughter (either by choosing to pay the deposit or sign up for free), a confirmation email will be sent with all the information regarding our Campership opportunities for your child to participate in and earn funds toward their total camp cost. As amazing as this is, we don’t have unlimited Campership funds. We encourage all families to look at their financial situation after trying the first two options above to decide if this is a necessary step for sending their child to camp. If you conclude that your family will still need to receive Campership funds, we are happy to provide those funds in order to send your child to camp. We strongly believe no child should miss out on camp for financial reasons.
